8. Oct 10,  · ALL subsequent pressings, including CD, LP, Reel, Cassette, 8-Track have a version of Big Sur with really problematic high frequency dropouts. So, in all likelihood, when the album was re-sequenced just before launch, someone goofed in lining up the tracks in the new order. Probably they used a tape recorder with intermittent head-tape-contact.
